Once the initial past the initial shock of the unbelievable horror and sorrow, my mind then begins to focus on friends and family - some whom work very near the World Trade Center, others whose work takes them inside either tower. There is no communication for a long time - thank God though - friends of my wife working in the Pentagon escape the flames; barely.
